Cardio Interval Training for Any Fitness Activity
Cardio interval training is a great way to work harder and increase the intensity of your cardio fitness workouts. I love it when exercisers finally start to see results and are closer and closer to achieving their fitness goals. Often times with good results comes the temptation to slack off or take it easy for a little while. Fight that temptation and work even harder! I want to challenge you to do just that this week by increasing the intensity of your cardio workouts and incorporating cardio interval training. Use this fitness routine with any kind of cardio equipment, inside or out, 2 days this week, you will be amazed at how many calories you burn and how tough it is. It is about 30 minutes long, remember to warm up and cool down. After you warm up do the following cardio interval training routine 4 times then do your cool down. Use the RPE Scale to monitor your pace:
– Low Intensity Exercise – 1 minute – RPE – 7
– Medium Intensity Exercise – 1 minute – RPE – 8
– Low Intensity Exercise – 30 seconds – RPE 7
– High Intensity Exercise – 1 minute, 30 seconds – RPE – 9
